Debbie Lee Wesselmann was born in New York City and currently resides in Hopewell, New Jersey with her husband, the computer scientist Daniel Lopresti, and their daughter.
She has published short fiction histories in magazines such as Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Other Voices, The Florida Review, and many others.
Her first novel, Trutor & the Balloonist, (1997, MacAdam Cage); was followed by the 1998 publication of a short story collection, The Earth
and the Sky, (Southern Methodist University Press).
She has recently published the novella Vibrissa (2003, Orchid: A Literary Review)
Her worldwide travels to Italy, France, Japan, Taiwan, Chile, Grand Cayman, and Canada inspired many of the stories in her collection.
Ms. Wesselmann is a recipient of a 2001 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Fellowship.
