Poetry Collections:

Anthologie de la poésie française

Poésie Francophone Large collection, mostly from the 19th and 20th century. This first page has many thumbnail images on it and can be slow to load.

Individual authors:

Littérature francophone virtuelle at ClicNet is currently the most comprehensive listing of French texts on the Internet. It and Athena Textes Français have comprehensive lists of French authors on the Web.


German:

Projekt Gutenberg-DE (German texts; no direct relation to the US-based Project Gutenberg). The largest collection of German literature on the Internet. Texts are organized for reading online with longer works divided into chapters. There is no provision for searching complete works or the Gutenberg database.

Religio (Texts in German on religion; at thur.de)

Institut für deutsche Sprache, Mannheim.

Bibliotheca Augustana. Strongest for medieval texts, but also includes 18th and 19th century works.

When an anthology contains more than one or two poems by an author, there will usually be a link to the anthology in the author section.
